Footing Templates

In a typical bridge project, shallow or deep foundations for pier shafts or columns have identical geometric properties that is repeated at many location in the structure. The system allows such geometry to be defined as a shallow or deep foundation footing "template". The system allows multi-row piles or caissons to be battered with the option to have end pile skewed at 45 degree angle. The user can assign the geometry of a footing at any position in the structure by selecting the appropriate template "ID" , position its center , orient its axes and - in case of deep foundation- specify the length of pile or caisson. The system generates a drawing (plan, front and side view) for each template in its own co-ordinate system and also shows in the layout drawing, the plan of all footings properly oriented in the global co-ordinate system.
